November - January NLYG Dates!

Sunday Nov 21st: NL Youth Group meeting, 1-3PM. We'll be launching our new study called GOD UP CLOSE. It's a look into encounters with God. Lessons are taken from the Bible, and our goal is to apply these to our everyday encounters with God. Lunch provided, please RSVP.

Sunday Dec 5th: NLYG meeting. 1-3 PM. God up Close lesson 2. Lunch provided, please RSVP.

Sunday Dec 19th: Special Christmas Scavenger Hunt after church. 1-3PM. We'll be hitting the streets, "Amazing Race" style, looking for clues and striving for the prize! Invite friends! Please RSVP.

Friday Dec 31st: New Year's at New Life!!! (this is for all ages) 9:30 PM for activities, and 11PM for worship.

Sunday, Jan 9th: NYLG meeting. 1-3 PM. We'll be resuming our God up Close lessons and applying what we've learned. Lunch provided, please RSVP.

Friday - Monday, January 14th-17th: High School Snow Trip version 2011! Save the dates! Invite your friends! Wax your snow boards! We're heading to the high country for another winter retreat. We'll play a little, learn a little, and of course eat a lot as we fellowship together in God's great white north. More details to come, but save the dates!!!

ELEVATE 2010: Point Loma Nazarene University
May 28-31, 2010 – Memorial Day Weekend
Elevate includes Nazarene church from the USA Southwest Region NYI! Over 1,000 students gather to compete in sports competitions, teen talent, bible quizzing or to hang out by kayaking, goign to the beach, snorkeling, paintballing and much more. The worship services include awesome praise bands and incredible speakers!

Snow Trip 2010!!!

Details: The Youth Ministries of New Life Church will be going to South Lake Tahoe, from Friday 1/15/10 through 1/18/10. Snow boarding and skiing will be at Sierra Ski Ranch.

Meet at church 5PM Friday unless other arrangements have been made. Return to homes approximately 3PM on Monday.

Participants will need to bring: enough for 4 days, 3 nights.
-Warm /athletic clothing (extra socks!),
- A sleeping bag/pillow,
- Toiletries (but towels will be provided),
- A Bible and notebook
- Snacks.
- Money for snow boarding/skiing and rentals (please contact Curtis for scholarship info)
- A few dollars for extra food/supplies never hurts (though all meals are provided)
- We HIGHLY recommend leaving electronic devices like video games, ipods, etc…at home!

Youth leaders and volunteers will also be driving students in their private cars. The leaders of the trip have the right to cancel the trip depending on weather conditions, money will be refunded or other arrangements will be made.
